MS Roald Amundsen by Hurtigruten

MS Roald Amundsen is a state-of-the-art ship from Hurtigruten Expeditions that features new and environmentally sustainable hybrid technology that will reduce fuel consumption and show the world that hybrid propulsion on large ships is possible.

Named after the first man to cross Antarctica and to reach the South Pole, MS Roald Amundsen leads the way towards an even more sustainable way of traveling. The ship is specially constructed for voyages in polar waters. It serves as a comfortable base camp at sea bringing adventurers from all over the world to the most spectacular destinations in the most sustainable way.

MS Roald Amundsen features new and environmentally sustainable hybrid technology. Emissions are cut by sailing with electrical propulsion and innovative sustainable hybrid technology reduces the ship's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 20 percent.

The decor features Scandinavian materials from nature, like granite, oak, birch and wool, to create a rich and comfortable environment. The stylish cabins are all outside cabins, of which 50% have private balconies, and aft suites feature private outdoor hot tubs with spectacular views.

One of the most eye-catching exterior design features is the two-level indoor/outdoor Observation Deck. It is an ideal place to view the scenery and watch for wildlife.


Quark Ultramarine

Ultramarine is the newest ship from Quark Expeditions. Built specifically for polar exploration, Ultramarine combines leading-edge technology and sustainability features with advanced safety systems to optimize the polar expedition experience.

The 199-guest Ultramarine is equipped with two twin-engine helicopters, 20 quick-launching Zodiacs, spacious suites, wellness amenities and numerous outdoor wildlife viewing spaces.

Ultramarine offers a robust portfolio of exciting off-ship activities, including heli-hiking, heli-landing, flightseeing, alpine kayaking, a Greenland camp experience, mountain biking, and an ice sheet experience.

Led by seasoned expedition teams, including scientists, naturalists and researchers, the onboard program focuses on guest interaction to educate and enrich the passenger experience.


Quark World Explorer

Distinct and comfortable, refined and roomy - these attributes and more describe World Explorer from Quark Expeditions. Not only is it among Quark's fastest ships, but it is also one of the finest, with six tiers of deluxe accommodation.

World Explorer features two state-of-the-art Rolls Royce hybrid-electric engines, significantly reducing its environmental impact on the Polar Regions.

Each suite on the 172-guest expedition ship has either a private walk-out or French balcony for direct ocean views. World Explorer also delivers plenty of public areas to unwind in after a day outdoors, including the glass-domed Observation Lounge for quiet contemplation and full skyline views, the Explorer Lounge for a drink and a chat, and the library for more intimate relaxing and reading. Presentations and discussions are facilitated in a dedicated lecture theatre.

The health and wellness facilities onboard World Explorer include an outdoor track, a small gym, sauna, spa with changing rooms, showers and lockers. For more active adventures, guests can kayak, paddle board and even go camping.


Seabourn Pursuit

Seabourn Pursuit is the second Seabourn expedition ship; its sister ship is Seabourn Venture. Slated to launch in 2023, Seabourn Pursuit is designed and built for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards and include modern hardware and technology that will extend the ship's global deployment and capabilities.

The ship's innovative design is created specifically for the ultra-luxury expedition traveler and includes many features that have made Seabourn ships so successful.

Seabourn Pursuit will carry two custom-built submarines, providing an unforgettable view of the world beneath the oceans surface. The ship will also carry sea kayaks as well as  24 Zodiacs that can accommodate all onboard guests at once. A 26-person expert expedition team will be onboard to engage guests throughout each voyage. 

While onboard, guests will enjoy inviting lounges, fine dining, a well-appointed spa, and luxurious all veranda, ocean-front suites.


Seabourn Venture

Seabourn Venture, an ultra-luxury expedition ship, is designed and built for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards and features modern hardware and technology that extends the ship's global deployment and capabilities. The ship's innovative design is created specifically for the ultra-luxury expedition traveler and includes many features that have made Seabourn ships so successful.

Seabourn Venture has two custom-built submarines carried onboard, providing an unforgettable view of the world beneath the oceans surface. The ship also carries a complement of double sea kayaks, mountain bikes and e-bikes as well as 24 Zodiacs that can accommodate all onboard guests at once.

Seabourn Venture's accommodations are all veranda ocean-front elegant suites.
